Hi, I’m Rachel. I’m a writer, speaker & creative guide with a Jungian arts-based PhD in writing-as-inner-work. After pursuing a career in journalism in my twenties, a breakdown & related chronic illness resulting from unresolved childhood trauma brought me crashing to a standstill. Finding myself at a brink, it was through a mid-life encounter with Jungian therapy that I began a dynamic journey of recovery. Following this life-changing experience, I became interested in how writing & creative practices of all forms can be an equivalent transformational space to explore the threshold between inner & outer worlds.

I have a background in the media and academia as an Editor of arts & culture magazine Dazed & Confused and a lecturer with over twenty years’ experience teaching creative arts subjects, respectively. Since completing my doctorate, I’ve developed the Jungian-inspired process of ‘depth writing’ aimed at nurturing depth of connection with our deep creative self and I run a programme of depth writing workshops, courses & retreats throughout the year, both online and in person.

I’m also a Seed Talks expert speaker, serve on the Editorial Team of the London Arts-Based Research Centre and am co-Editor of forthcoming Routledge publication The Creative Psyche: Between Self & Spirit. I write about my travels between worlds via my ‘living autobiography’ Dreaming Awake over on the publishing hub Substack. And, as you’ve probably guessed, I love to dive deep.
