I am a Jungian-based writer & teacher with twenty years experience as a lecturer teaching a range of creative arts subjects. After pursuing a career in journalism and becoming Editor of the arts & culture magazine Dazed & Confused in my twenties, a breakdown & related chronic illness resulting from unresolved childhood trauma brought me crashing to a standstill. Finding myself at a brink, it was through a mid-life encounter with Jungian psychotherapy that I began a dynamic journey of recovery. Following this life-changing experience, I became interested in how writing & creative practices of all forms can be an equivalent transformative space to explore the threshold between inner & outer worlds and develop psycho-spiritual growth.

I hold a PhD in applying Jungian psychoanalysis to creative writing & my work is published in international peer-reviewed academic journals. Iā€™m an Associate Member of the Higher Education Association, an Editorial Team Member at The London Arts-Based Research Centre and co-Editor of forthcoming Routledge publication The Creative Psyche: Between Matter & Spirit. I lead inclusive depth-writing courses, workshops & retreats aimed at facilitating creativity & supporting transformative growth and am passionate about sharing my love of diving deep with others.
